Overview

An innovative loving family is seeking a loving, flexible and calm Mandarin and English-speaking nanny to join their family. This position is open to candidates anywhere in the United States who are fluent in both English and Mandarin and have backgrounds in early childhood education.

 

The parents are busy professionals and they appreciate a nanny who is ready to be part of the team and can bring their calm, loving, and flexible personality to the role.  This is a fully-staffed home that can be best described as informal, organized and efficient so a keen sense of teamwork and dedication to your role are key!

 

Compensation is very generous including a comprehensive benefit package. A nanny car will be provided for the right candidate.

 

This position is open to all Adventure Nanny candidates who are legally able to work in the US and bring an enthusiasm for their career as a nanny to the table.  The family is happy to consider relocation candidates. 

Responsibilities

  • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the child
  • Plan activities and support a varying daily schedule. Become an asset to the family when traveling or spending time with family and friends
  • Work with the nanny team and parents to provide loving and consistent care, including daily scheduled, feeding, and discipline philosophies 
  • Perform light housework related to child care, clean up after meals, tidy play areas and children's rooms, and wash bottles and feeding equipment
  • Maintain an organized diaper bag stocked with items the child frequently uses or needs while out and about
  • Attention to detail and over communication with household staff to maintain a discreet and safe environment 

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Execute extreme level of confidentiality
  • Personality traits: gracious, kind, adaptable, flexible, emotional maturity, common sense, sense of humor, happy!
  • Good communication, excellent judgment skills and a self-starter
  • Knowledgeable and proactive with developmental stages and proactive in teaching children, experience with early childhood education is preferred 
  • Adept at working in a team environment, experience in a staffed home
  • Understand importance of maintaining balance of warmth and professionalism; not overly talkative
  • Car, driver’s license, auto insurance, safe driver with an excellent driving history and comfortable driving family car and children in the city and suburban areas
  • College graduate preferred
