Overview

A cool and cultured family on the Upper East Side is looking for a live-in nanny to care for their 22-month-old son, 4-year-old daughter and occasionally their 12-year-old son. This nanny will primarily take care of their youngest son, but a willingness to jump in as-needed with the older children will be appreciated and expected.

The nanny will join the bustling home where live-in accommodations will be provided while working Monday-Friday. The candidate will have most weekends off and be asked to live-out during off days. The family would love a nanny who is understanding and able to cover a weekend if their weekend nanny is on vacation or sick. The schedule is flexible during the week and will be a perfect fit for a candidate who understands when to step in and help out and when to step back to allow the family their space.

The family travels frequently and is excited to find a candidate who can travel as needed while making those trips easy and fun! They spend their summers in the Hamptons, where their nanny will join them Monday-Friday to live-in at their summer home. Transportation on the Jitney will be provided to and from work each week. You'll be spending a lot of time splashing around in the pool, so being a strong swimmer is a requirement for this role.

This family loves to eat and enjoy food and a candidate who is comfortable preparing meals for the children and the entire family would be a huge asset. A valid driver's license would also be a bonus, but not required.

The family is offering generous hourly compensation including paid overtime, healthcare and paid time off.

This position is open to candidates who currently live within a commutable distance from Manhattan and have experience working as a live-in nanny.
