  • Overview

A loving, fun, and inclusive family in Tribeca is looking for a nanny to care for their two boys who are 3 years old and 8 months old. This is a live-out position, Monday through Friday, and is open to New York City candidates looking to make a long-term commitment to a wonderful family.

This family believes in freedom within boundaries, and encourages creative, child-led, and independent play. This exploration is built around a routine or mealtimes and naptimes that help guide the day. This is a low/no technology household and the family is looking for a nanny who will find fun and creative ways to spend their time.

This is a family that has loved and valued their nanny who they've had for more than three years. They are looking for someone similarly artistic, creative, and intelligent. A person who has a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn with and teach the children about art, science, different cultures and cuisines, and whatever is sparking interest in the children's active imaginations. The perfect nanny will be very verbal and regularly ask the children thought-provoking questions and engage in genuine conversation. This nanny will also need to set clear and stable boundaries that allow the children to feel safe.

The parents value progressive educational philosophies and would love a nanny who was interested in researching early childhood education subjects. A healthy and active lifestyle is a requirement of this role. Some meal prep may be required. This nanny will also be tech savvy and comfortable managing e-commerce apps, uploading photos of the children to a shared cloud drive, and other tech-related needs. The family does hope to take their nanny on several planned international and domestic trips and a valid passport is a requirement.

The family lives in Tribeca and is only considering a candidate who lives within a 45-minute commute to the Canal Street or Franklin Street stations. The schedule will be 7:15am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday. They are offering a competitive annual salary, healthcare stipend, metrocard, and all meals.
