    Household Manager
  • Overview

A family that shares their time between homes in Venice Beach, California and Vienna, Virginia (just outside of Washington, DC) is looking for a household manager/nanny to take care of their very sweet kids ranging in age from 8 to 15 years old. This position will be live-out and be based in Los Angeles.

In this job you'll wear many hats, from acting as a nanny when the father has custody of his children to providing support as a personal assistant and household manager to the father while the children are away. The father has custody of the children one weekend a month in Vienna and you will be asked to travel to Vienna to prepare the home for the children's arrival and focus primarily as a nanny while the father had custody, including scheduling activities and transportation for the children, preparing meals, and helping with any other standard childcare duties. Once the visit wraps up, you would then close up the house and head back to Los Angeles.

Several weeks out of the year the children will travel to Venice Beach, California to spend time at their home there or will travel to other fun locations with their father. When the children travel to see their father the nanny travels with them, regularly accompanying them on flights. (They are great and easy travelers!) Each child has their own interests and once you've gotten to know them you will get to plan the itineraries for your getaways - and you can plan some pretty fun stuff! In each location you travel to you will also be allowed to select private accommodations for yourself nearby and the family will cover the costs. The right Adventure Nanny for this job is flexible to travel ~25% of the time.

While the children are with their mother, responsibilities will shift to remote personal assisting and household management. A day could include researching and preparing special projects, managing vendors, maintenance, and all care of the family's homes, manage schedules, arrange or provide transportation, and keep common areas in the principle's home organized and tidy.

This person will work very closely with the principal's executive assistant who works out of his office in Los Angeles. The position allows for a lot of autonomy and growth as long as the objectives are met.

The family is down to earth and is looking for someone who is easy to get along with, laid back, and on top of things without being over the top.

The compensation is open for the right person and experience. This position is open to relocation candidates who have experience workings as household managers. A valid driver's license, clean driving record and current US passport are required.
