A tight-knit and loving family of four is looking for a nanny to join them in a full-time, live-out position in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be proactive, kind, sensitive and engage their two girls who are one and almost four years old. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 8:15am-6:15pm and will require some flexibility to come in early or stay later as requested by the busy professional parents who both work outside the home.
The family lives in a lovely home in the Cleveland Park neighborhood with their sweet and playful labradoodle. They would love to find someone with a safe vehicle they are comfortable transporting children in, and will provide mileage reimbursement. They are also open to considering providing a nanny vehicle. This position requires a nanny who has a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable method of transportation to their home.
The older child is in a Montessori program from 8:30am-12:30pm five days a week. The younger child will be enrolled in school in the Fall of 2019 or later in 2020.
The perfect person will be creative in planning activities in the home and around the exciting city and will collaborate with the parents to determine the best activities for the girls. They would love a nanny who spoke a second language! Ideally, their nanny will also be comfortable preparing and introducing the girls to healthy foods and will help keep the home neat and tidy during the day.
The family spends part of their summer up in Maine and would love to bring their nanny with them next year. They also occasionally travel and will invite the nanny to come along or ask the nanny to stay behind and provide care for the children while they are away. The parents describe themselves as progressive and value different and interesting perspectives in their home. They also love travel, music, cooking and delicious food!
The family is looking for someone to start in late August and will be paying $20-21/hr and will be providing a healthcare stipend and paid time off for their nanny. They will give preference to candidates who are currently local to Washington, DC are or have connections to the area, however, are also open to candidates eager to relocate to the city.
