    Calling all family assisting/nanny/household management professionals! We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and Spanish-speaking candidate to jump into a dynamic family assistant role with a loving and adventurous family of four residing in Park City, Utah and Mexico!


    An experienced, energetic, organized, and self-starting candidate will thrive in this live-out position. You can expect to wear many hats as you support the homes and lives of two busy parents and their intelligent and inquisitive children, an 8-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl who are both academically supported by a private educator. You will be working closely with mom to support both their home in Utah, a construction project in Mexico, and all things day-to-day in this bustling environment. The successful candidate must be experienced, self-starting, and comfortable carrying a high level of responsibility. This multi-faceted role will encompass family assisting, household management and project management support, while providing loving and supportive childcare throughout.


    The family is seeking a candidate who is highly organized, communicative, professional, and lives a healthy lifestyle.  The successful candidate will assist with household organization, home projects, and will stay on top of household maintenance and vendor management. The family assistant will be responsible for grocery shopping, preparing meals including 3-4 evening meals a week. This role requires a resourceful, intelligent, and knowledgeable person who is relaxed and easy-going with a sunny disposition on the one hand while firm, professional, encouraging and directed on the other. 
    The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of child development and education. They must have a proven ability to engage in educational and child-led play, encouraging children’s creativity, and be a grounded, flexible, and patient person. The family's daughter is incredibly bright with a lot of energy and struggles with some symptoms associated with ADHD. Their son has a complete tracheal rings and as such a respitory infection would be life threatening. Additionally, he has a severe peanut allergy along with many other food and environmental allergies. Having a good understanding of germ prevention, paying attention to detail, and being trained in food allergy preparedness is of paramount importance for this position. The family is happy to assist with training on best practices for food safety and germ prevention for the right candidate.


    The family is excited to meet a candidate who has a wide range of skills and interests they can share with the family and children. This can include anything from playing a musical instrument to recreational archery, expert knowledge about art history to a talent in cartoon creation. Being comfortable in nature – from the mountains to the beach – is key as the family has a very active lifestyle that involves skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, and beyond! The successful candidate should be upbeat, energetic, kind, caring and interested in the world around them. Someone who is a natural communicator, able to explain concepts simply and clearly, and able to encourage a love of learning in both children will excel in this role for years to come! The family and working environment can be considered as relaxed however, it is essential that the family assistant remain professional at all times and respectful of the family’s privacy.


    Compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The weekly schedule will vary but will be centered around a Tuesday-Saturday. Some flexibility will be required and appreciated. Paid time off and a monthly healthcare stipend will be offered.


    This position is open to all Adventure Nannies and Magnolia Agency candidates who are legally able to work in the US, possess a valid passport and driver's license, are fluent in both Spanish and English, and the prerequisite experience. The start date for this position is August 2018. The family is open to assisting with some relocation costs for the right candidate!


    • Family assisting responsibilities to include: healthy meal preparation and cooking, grocery shopping, ordering supplies and managing inventory, calendar management, light housekeeping, travel coordination, dog walking, personal shopping and family errands

    • Administrative responsibilities to include: managing a budget, frequent email communication, utilizing Apple products and Microsoft office to complete projects and clerical tasks 
    • Project management tasks to include: household organization projects, managing vendors and home maintenance projects, event planning
    • Childcare responsibilities to include: overseeing morning and evening routines, drop-offs and pick-ups, overseeing children and playdates, overnight childcare with advanced notice, planning and executing fun and educationally-focused events, ability to create and maintain firm and loving boundaries 


    • Bachelor's degree or higher. Preference will be given to candidates with ECE, childhood development, or communication degrees or equivalent experience. 

    • Bilingual English and Spanish required

    • Minimum of 3 years experience working with elementary aged children required

    • Previous experience working in a private home as a nanny, family assistant, housekeeper and/or house manager

    • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a professional, self-starting, and tech-savvy environment

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Product include Word and Excel

    • Experience with Apple products preferred

    • Comfortable swimming and caring for children in and around water

    • Dedication to maintaining an active, mindful, and healthy lifestyle

    • Current driver's license and a clean driving record river
    • Valid passport and flexibility to travel to-and-from Mexico with some frequency
