  • Overview

Based in Laguna Beach, CA, this family travels near-constantly throughout the year and they have begun their search for the perfect private educator to join them on their travels and to enrich their 3.5-year-old daughter’s education. From Laguna Beach to Indonesia to Italy, the perfect candidate will be excited about other cultures, languages, loves the outdoors, and will have an adventurous and active spirit. More importantly, someone who has extensive educational experience, is reliable, and has a passion and dedication for their child’s education will be highly valued in this family.

This is a trilingual household and their daughter is growing up learning to speak Spanish and Italian. They hope to find a private educator who is preferably fluent in Italian in order to enrich their daughter’s knowledge of the language. They also hope to find someone who is comfortable with light household duties, such as picking up around the house, transporting their daughter to and from activities, and the occasional grocery run. Someone who is comfortable preparing gluten-free and vegan meals for their daughter would be a huge plus!

Both parents work from home, although home could be anywhere around the world for this family! They are very active and enjoy snowboarding, surfing, biking, and any other sort of outdoor activities you might find yourself doing while living life in the mountains or on the beach or on the lake or anywhere else their travels might take them. Someone who is active and has a passion for the outdoors will fit right in with this family.

This position will suit a candidate who has a high-level of flexibility, is a self-starter, and will be able to create and implement a core curriculum for the family’s child that is fun, cool, and engaging. The family wants the flexibility to eventually place their daughter back into the school-system several years down the road, based on the needs of their daughter.

This is a full-time private educator position that is live-out while in Laguna Beach, CA, and live-in while traveling. The family would ideally like to have someone in place by the Spring of 2019, and are flexible to bring someone on sooner if they found the perfect fit. They are offering a competitive salary of $50k-$70k annually dependent on experience, as well as several paid sick days and accrued vacation days.
