  • Overview

A bustling family living on the Upper East Side is looking for a loving role model to care for their bright and active daughters, ages eight and eleven, while also providing some family assisting. If you're proactive and flexible you will be a great addition to their staffed home!

The family is looking for someone athletic and creative who can keep up with the girls and foster their development. A candidate with early childhood education experience would be highly valued in this home as the nanny will be asked to provide homework help and other educational enrichment activities.

The family is looking for coverage Friday-Monday from 2-10pm and will occasionally ask for flexibility in that schedule with advanced notice.

The average day might include heading out for the afterschool pick-up, going to activities or play groups, providing homework help, assisting with the dinner and evening routines, and helping with a project for the parents after the girls go to bed. This family may also request coverage on the weekends when the routine will change. To fill out that schedule the family will ask for additional support with household tasks like grocery shopping, meal prep, organization, running errands, and other projects as assigned.

As a family who is always on-the-go, their priority is to find the perfect someone who is trustworthy, reliable, a good communicator, and a positive influence for their girls. The parents occasionally travel and are looking for someone who is also comfortable providing overnight care when they’re away, usually around 3 times per year.

The family is offering competitive pay based on experience as well as a metro card and paid time off. This position is only open to candidates who already live a commutable distance from the Upper East Side and have at least one year of experience working in New York City.
