A mindful and loving family of four based in Wayland, Massachusetts is seeking a warm and joyful nanny who is ready to join their family for years to come. They hope to find someone who shares their dedication to child-led education and creativity to support their 3-year-old girl and 11-month-old boy in a 30 hour/week capacity.
Inventive and compassionate, this family is excited to raise self-directed, creative, and joyful children and are looking for a candidate who shares those values.
The ideal candidate for this family will be excited to develop beautiful learning experiences for their children. Imagine creating weekly games, according to the season, natural environment and emerging interests of each child. Whether playing outside near their riverside home or exploring the world further afield, the family is looking for a candidate who can help young children discover new things while balancing boundaries and nap schedules.
The family is seeking someone who can bring their unique talents into child care and has a preference toward candidates with educational, art, or musical training. The family gravitates towards a Montessori philosophy: they keep a rotation of projects and activities within arms’ reach of the children and are looking for a candidate who would enjoy developing new activities for each child. Word games, puzzles, yoga, simple mindfulness for toddlers, they are open to anything inventive and joyful for mind and body!
This is a part-time live-out position and the family with a guarantee of up to 30 hours per week and two consecutive days off, depending on the candidate's availability. Mix of three weekday mornings or afternoons, one weeknight and one weekend morning. An example schedule would be: mornings Mondays and Wednesdays (from 8 am to 1 pm), afternoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays (1 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday and 2 pm to 11 pm on Thursday), Sunday (8:30 am to 2:30 pm).
The family is offering a competitive hourly compensation that is commensurate with experience, as well as benefits like paid time off, sick pay, a health care stipend, and mileage reimbursement for the right candidate. Dad travels frequently for work, so the family hopes to find a candidate who is flexible to occasionally travel along with them.
This position is open to all Adventure Nanny candidates who live in a commutable distance of Wayland, MA, are legally able to work in the US and possess a valid driver’s license.
